To Spy or Not To Spy

To be or not to be – That is the question.
Whether ‘tis nobler in the mind to suffer.
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune.
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles
And by opposing, end them.

To be a spy or not to be a spyThat is truly the question. The internet has created a new area of privacy and secrets that were once subject to phones, letters and person-to-person interaction. With these new boundaries, new forms of jealousy and anxieties have arisen. Because of the internet we are less informed about what our partners are doing and who they’re talking to. This can cause insecurities because you have no idea what your partner’s doing and hence you feel compelled to spy and invade their privacy, which you shouldn’t do.

Why? Well, besides it being illegal, it causes more trust issues. Your partner becomes more private, withdrawn, and resentful because their privacy has been threatened and you have clearly shown a huge lack of trust. Spying is also all consuming and bits of information won’t let you rest. It’s better to just let things go because eventually everything always comes to light. The same way that love is blind, you should trust blindly. So, ‘tis nobler to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune because once you take arms against a sea of trouble that your mind has fabricated, you can only come out the loser.
